샤갈의 하늘까지From a night slope
to Chagall’s sky
함께한 지 45일째부터 123일째까지, 2010년 12월부터 이듬해 2월까지의 겨울. 처음 함께 떠난 1박 2일, 크리스마스이브 자정의 콘서트, 100일, 그리고 미술관 벽의 하늘.Days 45 to 123 of us: December 2010 to February 2011. Our first night away together, a concert at midnight on Christmas Eve, our hundredth day, and a sky on a museum wall.
처음 같이 떠난 곳The first place we went together
함께한 지 45일째, 처음으로 짐을 꾸려 둘이 떠났다. 강원도 평창 봉평의 휘닉스파크, 1박 2일. 해가 지면 슬로프마다 조명이 켜지고, 하얀 줄이 산꼭대기까지 이어진다. 12월 첫 주말인데 로비는 이미 크리스마스였다.
Day 45, and for the first time we packed a bag and went away together: one night at Phoenix Park in Bongpyeong, Pyeongchang. After dark the floodlights come on run by run, a white line climbing to the top of the mountain. It was only the first weekend of December, but the lobby was already Christmas.
자정 무렵에 시작한 크리스마스A Christmas that began around midnight
크리스마스이브, 박진영 콘서트 ‘나쁜 파티’. 공연은 밤 11시 30분에 막을 올렸다. 자리에 앉았을 때 크리스마스까지 30분이 채 남지 않았고, 공연이 끝났을 때는 크리스마스 새벽이었다.
Christmas Eve: Park Jin-young’s concert, ‘Bad Party’. The curtain went up at 11.30 at night. When we took our seats there was less than half an hour to Christmas; by the time it ended, it was the small hours of Christmas Day.

10월 21일부터 세어 100일째 되는 금요일 저녁. 분당 정자동에서 저녁을 먹었다.
Counting from 21 October, our hundredth day fell on a Friday evening. We had dinner in Jeongja-dong, Bundang.
벽 위의 하늘A sky on the wall
이틀 뒤 일요일, 서울시립미술관의 ‘색채의 마술사 샤갈’ 전(2010. 12. 3 – 2011. 3. 27). 미술관 벽을 가득 채운 포스터 그림은 「도시 위에서(Over the Town)」. 두 사람이 마을 위를 날아가는 그림이다. 미술관을 나설 때는 이미 저녁이었다.
Two days later, on Sunday: ‘Chagall, Magician of Colour’ at the Seoul Museum of Art (3 December 2010 – 27 March 2011). The picture filling the wall was Over the Town, two people flying over a village. It was evening when we left.
2월의 작은 것들Small things in February
설 연휴에는 나흘 동안 겨울 숲과 바다를 지나는 여행을 했다. 돌아와서는 다시 평일 저녁들. 8일 화요일의 노란 프리지어, 14일 밸런타인데이의 머핀 한 상자, 20일 일요일 오후의 동탄 메타폴리스. 겨울이 조금씩 가벼워졌다.
Over the Lunar New Year holiday we spent four days travelling through winter woods to the sea. Then weekday evenings again: yellow freesias on Tuesday the 8th, a box of muffins for Valentine’s Day on the 14th, a Sunday afternoon at Dongtan Metapolis on the 20th. Winter grew a little lighter.
함께한 지 123일째. 겨울이 끝나 가고 있었다.
Day 123. Winter was on its way out.
