물가까지From brick walls to the water
2014년 초여름의 주말들. 서초동의 금요일 저녁, 명동성당, 캐리비안 베이, 해 진 뒤의 북한강, 그리고 오션월드.Weekends of early summer 2014: a Friday dinner in Seocho, Myeongdong Cathedral, Caribbean Bay, the Bukhangang River after sunset, and Ocean World.

Friday evening in Seocho, the week behind us.
명동성당Myeongdong Cathedral
이튿날은 아는 사람의 결혼식으로 명동성당에. 1898년에 세워진 우리나라 첫 벽돌조 고딕 성당으로, 사적으로 지정되어 있다.
The next day, a friend’s wedding at Myeongdong Cathedral. Completed in 1898, it was Korea’s first Gothic church in brick and is a designated Historic Site.
식이 끝난 한낮, 붉은 벽돌.

캐리비안 베이Caribbean Bay
용인 에버랜드 옆의 워터파크. 실내와 야외 물놀이장이 함께 있다. 여름 주말에는 아침 일찍 가는 편이 낫다.
The water park next to Everland in Yongin, with indoor and outdoor pools. On summer weekends it pays to go early.
해 진 뒤의 북한강The Bukhangang after sunset
양평 서종면, 북한강을 따라가는 북한강로. 문호리 강가에는 수상스키장이 있고, 수입리 쪽으로 강을 내려다보는 카페 테라스가 이어진다.
Bukhangang-ro in Seojong-myeon, Yangpyeong, follows the North Han River. There is a water-ski spot on the bank at Munho-ri, and towards Suip-ri, café terraces look down over the river.
이날 해는 8시 조금 전에 졌다. 그 뒤로 강은 금방 회색이 된다.
The sun set a little before eight that day. After that, the river turns grey quickly.
비발디파크 오션월드Vivaldi Park Ocean World
홍천 비발디파크의 워터파크. 이집트를 본뜬 정문과 실내외 물놀이장이 있다. 우리는 아침 8시 조금 넘어부터 오후 5시 반까지.
The water park at Vivaldi Park in Hongcheon, with an Egyptian-style gate and indoor and outdoor pools. We were there from a little after eight in the morning until half past five.
그해 초여름, 주말은 자꾸 물 쪽으로 기울었다.
That early summer, the weekends kept leaning toward the water.
